The Art of PR

Occhi Arts and Entertainment is proud to support the Art of PR initiative. This groundbreaking exhibition combines the creative talents of established and emerging artists from the UK public relations and communications sector.

Occhi Arts is proud to support the Art of PR initiative, an initiative celebrating the creative talents of artists working in the PR sector.

Held at The Coningsby Gallery in the heart of Fitzrovia, London, in September 2024, the inaugural exhibition showcased a vibrant collection of original contemporary works spanning various media, including oils, watercolours, pencil, digital art, print design, and photography. Visitors were also treated to live portrait drawings by artist and PR professional Joe Thomas, adding a dynamic, interactive element to the event.

While the advertising industry has long embraced its connection with art and artists, the PR and communications sector—despite its creative roots—has until now lacked a similar celebration. Organisers of The Art of PR hope to establish this exhibition as an annual highlight in the arts and marketing calendars.

Ade Lee, the exhibition organiser and senior creative at Boldspace, shared his enthusiasm: “A showcase for artists in the PR sector is long overdue. Many artists balance their creative passions with day jobs, and this exhibition shines a spotlight on the incredible talent, dedication, and inspiration within the PR world. The Art of PR provides a platform for the Picassos of publicity and the Michelangelos in media relations.”

Andrew Coningsby, owner of The Coningsby Gallery, added, “This gallery represents some of the most original illustrators and animators in the communication arts field. I’m thrilled to support Ade and the talented artists he’s championing through this innovative initiative.”

The exhibition, organised by Ade Lee and supported by the brand and communications agency Boldspace, marked an exciting milestone in celebrating creativity within the PR and communications industry. Look out for more ‘Art of PR’ shows and features.
